Branch Manager - Business Travel - £27k – Southampton
Our client is currently looking for a Branch Manager in Business Travel to join their friendly team in Southampton.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
To maximise branch sales and profitability by leading and developing the team, delivering high levels of customer service, and efficiently and effectively implementing operational procedures and policies.
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
§ Background in travel management essential
§ Experience of travel or other fast paced high volume profit driven environment would be a distinct advantage
§ Ability to understand and analyse key financial indicators and take the appropriate decisions
§ Excellent communication skills
§ Leadership Skills
§ Proven track record of driving sales
§ Motivator and developer of people
§ Computer literate preferably with previous experience of travel systems
DUTIES
§ Manage the department’s resources (e.g. all controllable costs), constantly monitoring performance and financial indicators, and taking action as necessary, in order to achieve budget.
§ Recruit, develop and motivate the branch team, and manage their performance, to create a knowledgeable, skilled and engaged team, so that staff perform in their roles and work together to deliver the TCTM goals and objectives, and the highest standards of customer service.
§ Support, coach and develop the team to effectively demonstrate compliance with Co-operative Group and business specific procedures and legislation (e.g. Data Protection, Data Security, Health and Safety, Money Laundering etc.) and co-operate with the relevant internal departments where necessary in order to minimise financial loss and protect TCTM assets.
§ Constantly review operational and administrative processes in conjunction with the Management Team and Head of Operations
§ Identify opportunities and actions to enhance the performance of the branch through implementation of a branch business plan, including understanding of competitor activity, marketing activity, promotional initiatives and events and PR opportunities.
§ Ensure the effective use of Management Information e.g. Travel power reporting, productivity reports, monthly trading accounts, and day books. Demographic profile etc. in order to manage staff productivity whilst identifying areas of opportunity to improve the branch profit performance.
§ Manage branch reporting procedures
