JOB DESCRIPTION
To be responsible for and take ownership of allocated Key and Target Accounts, ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered to maximise orders and the sale of the company products and services.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To build strong relationships with appointed Key & Target Accounts and associated Key Account Manager(s).
2. To answer telephone enquiries quickly and efficiently from existing customers and potential customers to ensure orders are obtained.
3. To provide quotations and associated follow-up activities as a result of sales calls, ensuring targets are met with regard to “Time To Quote”.
4. To answer queries and questions efficiently and professionally. Work closely with Product Support Engineers and Product Managers on technical issues to ensure quick response time to customers. Be pro-active.
5. To liaise with external Key Account Managers in producing leads and contacts. Provide KAM’s with regular up-dates as necessary on enquiries, orders, deliveries and quality issues.
6. To process customer orders accurately to ensure optimum lead times are achieved. Monitor deliveries to ensure customers are advised in advance of any delays.
7. To project a good company image to customers at all times.
8. To assist with customer visits to the company and reciprocal arrangements.
9. To assist in producing publicity and product literature.
10. To attend trade shows where required and project a good company image at all times.
11. To supervise the follow up activities with regard to sales leads from trade shows, web hits, samples and quotations.
12. To ensure computer data input to company order book and customer data base is kept up-to-date.
13. Effectively manage own workload, filing systems and computer data.
14. Support “Sales Manager” and colleagues at all times, covering for holidays and sickness in other areas of the Sales Office.
15. To assist in the Customer Perception Surveys as required
16. To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
17. Any other reasonable task as may be requested from time to time.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
1. Should be educated to ‘O’ level standard and be an excellent communicator, both written and spoken.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in either direct sales or sales administration is required.
3. Must be numerate and accurate. Have the ability to work on own initiative.
4. Intermediate PC skills required in Excel & Word, together with good knowledge of e-mail and internet portals.

1. Collecting valuable information/market needs for decision/action by management.
2. Provide sales leads to Key Account Managers where possible.
3. Works to policy and procedure guidelines and makes daily decisions involving customer requirements.
4. Prepares accurate spreadsheets providing customers with information on deliveries.
INITIATIVE
1. Capable of working on own initiative with minimum supervision by Industrial Logistics Manager.
2. Must be able to prioritise tasks in order of importance. It is essential that the job holder be a good team member.
MENTAL EFFORT
1. High level of concentration required.
2. Ability to work in a busy sales office and to quickly assimilate knowledge of a complex product range.
3. Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
4. Attend product training sessions and department overviews.
